Hello, my name is Debbie Newell and I am a retired teacher from COPE (Osceola County School District’s Teen Parenting Program). I devoted 28 years of my life teaching and working with the most awesome young women of our community. I now carry a strong desire to continue working and helping these young women and others with their difficult jouneys in life.
I had the priveledge of teaching so many young women and still keep in touch with many of them. My hope it that some of these women will embrace this website and use it to their advantage as well as reach out and help other young women.
My husban Roger has encouraged me to continue my efforts and he has been the “workhorse” to many of my endeavors. The girls will remember him coming to class to speak on a variety of subjects, flip hot dogs and hamburgers at our 20th reunion picnic and run around Osceola County picking up donations and bringing them to school. Roger and I have been married for 48 years and have three grown daughter, Kim, Courtney and Katie, all of which supported the COPE program through the years. I am blessed with 10 of the most beautiful grandchildren and there is one on the way…Life is Good!
