Larrisa Camacho…Celebrity Mom

Spread the love
Larrisa was chosen this month because of her success with her education. If you knew the difficulties she went through as a teen mom you would understand the tremendous accomplishments she is achieving now. Larissa was one who avoided drama at school and completely devoted herself to her son and finishing high school. I am so proud of how far she has come and know many of us are wishing her to go all the way….Dr. Camacho…Wow!!!!!!
Name: Larissa CamachoAge: 24
Larissa and Jose

Graduated: 2006

Child: Jose Armando Collazo aged 7

Current Employment: Optician at Optical Outlets

Accomplishments: Graduated from high school in 2006. I enrolled right after at Keiser University to work on my Associates of Science in Radiologic Technology and graduated in 2010. Currently working on my bachelors in Biomedical Science for my pre-medical studies as well as a second AS in Occupational Therapy. I hope to graduate with both degrees and meet all the requirements to apply to the Medical School of Optometry.

Advice: Being 15 and pregnant has to be one of the hardest things anyone can ever go through; and no matter how many times and with how much detail you tell your story to anyone, they will never be able to understand how hard is to stay awake all night, work a job or two, find transportation, study and still find time to spend with your kid. COPE was the best thing that has ever happened to me. Thanks to Ms. Debbie I was able to meet people like myself everyday, and no matter how down you feel every morning she was always there to tell you the right words. Sitting in Mr. Myers class and telling him I wanted to become a doctor seemed impossible at the time, but now that I am working on my premedical studies my only advice is: Everything is possible, always follow your dreams and when you begin something never ever stop. Always remember that everyday that goes by is just a step closer to accomplishing your goals.
