Florida Institute of technology, a private university in Melbourne, has established two new scholarship progams that will award up to $1 million in scholarships each year to Valencia College graduates who elect to attend the university.

The first Scholarship program, known as the Florida Tech Presidential Scholarship for Valencia College Transfer Students, will provide full tuition to 10 Valencia graduates each year. In addition to that program, Florida Tech has set up a second scholarship program that will allow Valencia College President Sandy Shugart to award 10 Valencia scholarships that are valued at $15,000 a year.

This scholarship is open to Valencia students who are applying for admission to Florida Tech in the fall. Florida Tech guarantees that the winners will receive a combination of federal and state grants equal to Florida Tech’s full tuition cost for one year at $34,150.
