Our first representative is Jenifer Harding who has given so much to COPE since graduating. Many times I asked her to come back and speak to the students about TECO and Valencia Community College and the Nursing Programs at both schools. She has taken the time out of her busy life to help anyone with scholarship information and general advice. Jenifer continues to exemplify Teen Moms being successful in life. Congratulations Jenifer!
Name: Jenifer Harding
Graduated Cope: 2004
Current Employment: RN at Maxim Healthcare and Nursing Instructor at TECO
Child: Kamron Harding (9 years old)
Accomplishments: I graduated TECO as a Licensed Practical nurse in 2005 and got my first job as a nurse working with home-bound children. I went on to become a Registered Nurse at Valencia in December of 2006. I continue working in pediatrics and consider myself a very lucky person to work with these special kids and their families.
Message/Advice: I received my first “big break”in 2004 when Ms. Debbie arranged my first volunteer job at Osceola Regional. I fell in love with nursing and never let anything change my mind. Finishing college has been the single most important thing I could have done for my son and I. Of course, a career isn’t the only important thing in my life. My family is absolutely wonderful! I have been blessed with a very smart and athletic son. I spend a lot of time making sure he’s involved in the community and sports. I believe there’s one thing all of us COPE graduates have in common. As parents, we all want to provide a better life and more opportunities for our children then we had.
